Fashion Designer Rebecca Taylor has become a sought out designer for the fashionable modern woman. Her label has transcended time for almost twenty years. With time also comes progression and an influx of new and exciting ideas. Rebecca's platform when it comes to her aesthetic has always been geared more towards formal business attire. You can always find your fair share of dresses, blouses and skirts within Taylor's line up. However, this year the designer has decided to do something a little different During an interview with VOGUE, Rebecca Taylor revealed that she wanted to create new pieces that would appeal to her passion for casual wear. "Everyone always tells me they buy my clothes for parties, but I really want them to wear Rebecca Taylor during the day, too. I live in jeans and vintage Victorian shirts, so I wanted to start offering new pieces that felt more personal to me". With those heartfelt statements came the birth of Rebecca Taylor's new collection, La Vie. In French the phrase "La Vie" means life. Now, we aren't sure just how Rebecca came up with the name of her line, but it's safe to say it speaks to her desire to create a line for the more care-free, casual side of life. VOGUE really hit the nail on the head when describing the designer's latest range. It is truly the inverse of the Rebecca Taylor signature line. The pieces are definitely more laid back and well suited for your days out of the office. La Vie offers subdued fabrics and prints that aren't as flamboyant as the Rebecca Taylor collection. This change is by no means a downside! The modern woman has many tasks to attend to on a daily basis and Rebecca has designs for every interval of the day. Rebecca talked about her love for Victorian style blouses and jeans. She made sure to include lots of denim within the La Vie collection. The line up includes straight-leg jeans, patchwork jeans, white jeans and denim jackets! The pieces that I personally love are the soft cardigans and striped tops. Comfort is key and these designs are definitely just that. Rebecca Taylor Womenswear La Vie collection is the price range! The prices range from $95.00 for the t-shirts up to $395.00 for high quality twill coats. This is definitely for the girl who wants to wear Rebecca Taylor without breaking the bank so to speak.
La Vie has its own section on Rebecca Taylor's website and there are currently several pieces up for grabs! "La Vie Rebecca Taylor reimagines casual wear with approachable versatile pieces that bring a hint of extraordinary to everyday dressing." This quote is how Rebecca introduces the line on the homepage of the site. This collection truly does just that. In addition to the pieces being versatile, they are also interchangeable! Have you ever been stuck with a garment you could literally only wear with ONE thing and one thing only? You never have to have that concern with La Vie. You can buy affordable pieces and mix and match for several fashion forward combinations. This collection is a win! Get your fashion fix now on RebeccaTaylor.com. Happy shopping!

The impressive nature and character of Marissa Webb has everything to do with why she has always been hitting headlines. When she sets her mind on doing something, she always sticks to her word. Every time she lets out a collection, it causes a buzz with the fashion enthusiast. The 2016 ready to wear collection was certainly no exception. The excitement it aroused was certainly enough to tell that, Marissa knows exactly what she does. The collection consisted of pre-fall, spring and resort designs. Needless to say, she did not fall short of the world’s expectations. Marissa Webb has been engaged for a few years and she has decided to focus her attention on her marriage. That is what was running through her mind when she was designing her 2016 pre-fall collection. She admits that the designs were her way of dropping hints on how her ceremony and her dress might look like. She explains that it will be the 1920’s menswear-inspired. Being the basis of her designs, it also remained true to Marissa Webb’s style of incorporating masculinity in her designs. The idea was to wed the hard and soft as was seen in the ivory lace dress with a tuxedo pin-tucking at the bust. The other brilliant representation was the pinstriped blazer with a ruffle at the collar, layer over the wide leg trousers. The image is also enacted in the ribcage grazing sailor pants styled with a ruffled dickey. Again true to her style, the ruffles and dickeys were also present in this collection. The fact remains that Marissa’s designs are flexible and can easily be mixed and matched but still remain as captivating. The extra-long tunic over the midi skirt and laces, herringbone and crisp cotton leaves Marissa’s customers spoilt for choice.
When Webb says she gathers her inspiration from literally anything, she means every part of it. For instance, she once came across a picture of her grandfather, groomed in the military uniform, standing right next to her grandmother. It suddenly hit her that fusing the two would be absolutely stunning. The next thing we saw was an exclusive eye-grabbing 2016/2017 spring collection. She is always breaking the status quo and trying to be as diverse as she possibly can. Webb is as well not shy with the colors as seen in her designs with a catchy neon orange lace dress and the pale pink skinny suit. When it comes to taking a huge step to the dark, Marissa is certainly the person for the task. The 2016 Resort collection says a lot about Marissa’s boldness. For instance, she added a double bustle to her waist military jacket that turned out to be an out-of-this-world design. She is a designing guru, after all, the attempt couldn’t have turned out any different. It had plenty of oversize cargo vests. Also present were trench dresses and paper-bag-waist cargo pants that were graced up with zippers. Click here to learn more. |
MayMarissa Webb is also handy with her decorative techniques. It is either a bustle, silk panel, laces at the back of the attires to rile things up. She is always ready to give people surprises and make women feel good with her wild creativity. ArchivesCategories |
